What a crock of shit! If you have been following along with the previous movies, you would realize that this plot made perfect sense, regardless of what shit movie has utilized a similar plot. This movies purpose was to provide closure to all the others, and do so in a funny, funny way. As far as I can see, most of Kevin's fans really liked the movie. Since that was what the man set out to do, I'd say it was a success! Don't go getting your panties all twisted because you don't understand the fucking movie. If you actually knew WHY certain situations and/or dialog was truly funny, you would understand the appeal of "Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back." The reason American Pie II is raking in the cash, is because the intellectually challenged masses are running out to see what the pie-fucker is going to put his dick into next. These are the same people who are drawn to shiny objects.
Oh, and FYI, Road Trip was not the first movie to use the "we have to stop this" plot, it's been used again and again in several variations...and I'm sure it will be used many more times in the future.
