so last weekend i went and watched Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back. i sat in a theater made up other kevin smith fans. i felt like we were being shown a home movie of kevins. while other people went to see american pie, we sat and smiled at OUR movie. JASBSB is our movie. made for us.

we've all followed these characters over 5 years, in movies, cartoons, comics, so its sad to see them go.....but its time. JASBSB is the swan song of a universe that we all grew to love and adore. there are so many stories and events and people we care for in the askew universe. so many events of our lifes have played out to the soundtrack of mallrats or chasing amy in the background. we feel part of it all.

i sat in the theater saturday night and smiled from start to finsh. that last freeze frame shot of jason and kevin is the perfect bookend to it all.
