Since you saw it on the first weekend, it's possible that the manager already knew about it, but the film lab hadn't sent a new reel yet. Of course, if you were in a mega-plex, it's also possible that the manager never sees the films at all, and if no one says anything, it could run the whole engagement uncorrected. Speak up, man!
