I lived in South Jersey most of my life. "609'ers" are a little different to be honest. I then took the plunge by attending Rutgers Univ in New Brunswick at the tender age of 21. Life changer for me. That is where I viewed "Clerks" & "Mall Rats" for the first time. I was laughing & hooked.
Now, nearly 6 years later I am obsessed. The most amazing things come from your movies. I have a story to share, if I may. On 8/25/01, I took my husband to see "Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back". Mind you, I had to sit him down months before hand and make him watch most of the previous flicks so he could get the jokes now. To be honest, he is an engineer. They don't really come with a sense of humor. I had to instill one. So, to my surprise after not laughing too much at the previous movies, my husband fell apart at the newest installment. He stated "It all came together in this one! Damn that was great!" I agreed. Thank you Kevin, Jay, Ben, Jason and every other person who helped create the movie that brought my husband to tears of joy on the night of 8/25/01. A real connection. Tell those idiot critics that if they are offened by the movie's lack of morals...it helped bring one heterosexual, legally married couple together for a night. You rock. I continue to spread the love for View Askew all thru the Philadelphia area. Just keep making movies.
