In the media blitz promoting Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, many (including Mr. Smith himself) are describing the duo as a pair of morons. Bill Maher even made this a topic on the Politically Correct show, saying "Comedy teams used to consist of a dumb guy and a smart guy. Why are there now two dumb guys?" I must take exception to this supposition when used in the context of Jay and Bob. One of the things I love about this peticular comedy team is that Jay is the dumb one (I think we can all agree to that) and Bob is the smart one. Except that Bob doesn't speak (unless he has something to say). I always got the impression that Silent Bob knew far more than he was letting on, and that's what I find refreshing about these two as opposed to other comedy duos.

Now Laurel and Hardy, THERE'S a pair of morons.
