To that, I say, hell no! It was a hundred-minute circle jerk.
Ain't no denying that there was some serious self-indulgence going on. But it was more than balanced out by the fan indulgence. (My local reviewer wasn't happy with just attacking the movie; he had to attack the no-life-having fanbase, too. I almost died laughing.) This movie ruled, Kevin. I will see it as many times as I can while it's still in the theatres. Which is easier said than done, since I have to rely on others for transportation, and the nearest theatre is half an hour away, but such is my determination.
By the way - did anyone ever get the total count on the number of talk shows that introed Kevin as the writer and director of "Clerks," "Chasing Amy" and "Dogma," but not "Mallrats?" Nuh uh, man, he had nothin' to do with *that* piece of shit.
