...was that I spent so much time laughing at it--good, solid, honest laughter at that--that I forgot to be disappointed.
The flick is everything you promised and more. I thought that the diamond heist (especially that kick-ass fucking score...thank the lord that you've discovered techno...yeah, I know there was techno in Amy but it was marginalized) was absolutely fantastic.
It was almost like "movie fetish." Not just because the women were wearing suits which fetishized their bodies, but the fact that you, Jamie Kennedy and your tech crew went all out to create a little less than 10 minutes of truly cool movie images simply for their own sake. I been reading people bitch, bitch, bitch about that and I'm wondering how all of these pseudo-sophisticates ever manage to have any real fun at the movies if all they do is sit back and wait for every flick to suck.
You're heading towards the big time, my friend. You've dropped four, scantily written babes in your narrative for sex appeal and one, long gratutious (and immensely entertaining to a few of us) special effects sequence. Our Kev's almost all growed up! Soon, you'll be helming projects like Swordfish or...Swordfish!
Okay, my tongue's in cheek, but I still loved the film and genuinely dug the diamond heist...although...Mewes' reactions to the effects on his shoulders was some of the best acting I've ever seen from him (and it was my favorite scene to boot!).
Loved your flick, man...l o v e d it!
Now, do something else! We'll wait.
: Many thanks to those who did double and triple duty...
You're welcome.
