Okay. To begin, i shall refer to a kevin smith interview in wizard special k.smith spectacular.
He says something along the lines of the following:
I am a stroy teller and as a stroyteller i want to speak to the biggest audience.
The gist of the rest is that if he did a comic and wanted to make a movie of it he would. He also says he gets a bigger audience with comics.
So,....
Later, in the jsbsb section he says how he cribbed the monkey storyline from the comics and he also had to cut out alot of stuff he wrote in from the comics. Such as doogie nights.
So, looka t the movies.
Without the comics the films make sense.
The monkey at the end was originally put there as a joke, to see how much the studio would stretch. But now it works as a precursor to jsbsb.
And in Amy jay says that they are going to chi-town (Chicago illanois)
Where we find them in dogma (Or at least it is explained) and there jay says they should go to quick stop at the end.
In jsbsb we find them there.
So, the comics are made for the geeky fanboys (Like me)Who want to know what happened between.
So in theory,
There are only two storylines, that sometimes contradict eachother.
The film storyline and the movie/comic one.
Now stop all this argumentitive bull and enjoy the goodness wityhin mr smith.
Snoogans and a good noonch,
Brodie
