kevin smith will be making a clerks animated movie next year..that will be the last appearance of any and all of the past characters including jay and bob. he will also be doing Fletch:won, starring jason lee...there is also rumor about an untitled kevin smith project......so in answer to ur question, he will be making movies, just not starring jay and silent bob
