Best as has been brought up is that as God say's rules made by the Church are law/He must adhere etc...; if the Church tells the people God's a He then when in conversation with humans Metatron, Loki, Bartleby and any others who know better will use that distinction as well. They know God's a 'She', but if the Church says 'He' that's what they'll call God in human presence...
