3 questions about Clerks

1: Why is Dante asleep in his wardrobe at the start of the film?

2: Dose’s the cat in the film really live in the store, and if so why?

3: Are Randal and Brodie related? As they both talk about a cousin Walter, and from what they say, it sounds like the same person.

I arrived questions 1 and 2 from having just seen Clerks again, and question 3 from reading Clerks: the comic books. I must say, given the trouble in getting Clerks released as it is, it would have been impossible with the extra scene. Those of you who have read it know what I mean!
