I have been pissed since I got home from Chicago at the Wiard-Con.
Tell me if I am wrong. Here's the senerio- Me and my Bud, Tim were walking from our car (after FINALLY finding a fuckin' parking spot) to the convention on Saturday morning. "Look here a short-cut through the parking lot!" I said to Tim. Then I re-thought "Ah, shit there's bushes in the way, lets just walk on the sidewalk."
Ok, so we are bopping along, when there coming out the door by right where we were gonna walk, out pops Kevin on the cell phone! "Holy Shit!" I said to my friend "Thats Kevin Smith, dude!"
Ok, here's where it gets interesting. "I shout to Kevin (who is on the phone) "Kevin, you're the MAN!" and my buddy chimes in with "37?" Kevin laughs and waves to us. As we walk away my buddy says "Dude, why didnt we go over and talk to him?" And I said "No, man. He was on the phone and that is rude. I wouldn't want some tools bothering me while I was on the phone either. Besides, We will, I am sure talk to him before the weekends over anyway."_WRONG! I did see (but not talk to)Kevin at the Green Arrow talk on Sunday, but the Jay and Silent Bob talk on Saturday was almost a fuckin' riot, so we bolted outta there. Weekend over, no talk to Kevin. Did get a pic with Jason which was cool (And NO way was he on anything, he was just kickin' it.)But no talk to Kevin, bummed totally.
Now, my buddy is like,"You fucked up man. You had your shot to talk one to one with one of the guys you really respect and you BLEW IT because he was on the PHONE? What is WRONG with you?"
I did the right thing right? I wouldn't want to be a dick to someone, celebrity or not, ya know? and to me, bothering someone on the phone just reeks of "dickyness". What do you think?
