What do Catholics have to do to be assured of salvation?
Part of this is my lack of understanding of the traditions of Catholicism, but if all they had to do was become human and get their sins forgiven, couldn't they just have gotten rid of their wings, confessed to a priest and done whatever penance was required, and THEN died and destroyed reality?
Even if it wasn't truly necessary, though, I liked the plenary indulgence angle if only because it gave the world the Buddy Christ.
