They rate movies for a reason. If it's R you should expect strong material. And what good parent lets thier children watch a movie based on the review of another 13 year old? If she is that concerned about what her kid sees she should find out more about the movie before assuming that it's ok. It amazes me how a parent can be so concerned about what thier kids see, yet make no effort in controlling it until they feel the child is ready to make those decisions for themselves. Then they bitch when the kid sees something they deem offensive....it was her own fault.

: Hey, I haven't posted in over a year, I'm busy and poor. But this morning, late for work. I catch Meredith Viera talking about how she took her son and some friends to see "J&SBSB" over the weekend and how shocked she was at the language and "innuendo". Her word not mine. She forgot Jay's name at the beginning of the title. Apparently one of her sons friends said the movie was fine for 13 year olds, and as she watched the movie, she disagreed, but because she didn't want to embarrass her son, she let him stay, and she watched the whole thing from a different section of the theatre. She said it was "fine" for adults, so its not like she slammed it or anything. Still I just thought it should be reported, and just in case you were wondering, I only turned on "the View", because it was the channel this poor cableless bastard had on the night before when he went to sleep. It just happended to come on right when she said "Silent Bob", which was sort of cool. I saw the movie on Monday night the day before my 25th birthday. It was a great present, and I really enjoyed it. I'm sorry I haven't posted in so long. If you live in L.A., come see the play I'm in "The Caliban" about artists held prisoner in a hellish prison for "crimes against the state", in a dystopian future, sort of like a "Kingdom Come" for artists. The cast hangs several feet in the air, in varying heights, from harnesses attached to the ceiling the entire show. Its at my theatre co. Sacred Fools Theatre at 660 N. Heliotrope, South of Melrose in Hollywood near Vermont, just before you get to the Silver Lake/Los Feliz area. Visit our website:
: Its the best theatre website in L.A. Our reservation line is 310-281-8337. Also on Sat. nights at 11: CRIME SCENE! L.A.'s longest running late night serial murder-mystery-comedy show! 3 continuing storylines 3 scenes each! This week: the conclusion of the 40's noir style zombie mystery: "THE DEAD OF NIGHT!" Episode 2 of "Cappucino Jones: Black Strong Hot" our 70's blaxpoitation parody/tribute and the 1st episode of "Bobby Knight: P.I.": a Sports Themed Show for Theatre Fags-or "How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love Chair-Throwing"-or something like that. Oh, and with it all over for the ViewAskewniverse, I just want to say, "thanks". Kevin, your movies have really made a difference in my life, and I am truly grateful. I look forward to whatever else you have in store for us. Love the NY Times comic. Say Hey to Jen and Harley. And thanks again. Now I am late for work, God I hope I don't get fired.
