Hey there.....
I'm not really good at introductions or anything like that, so I'll just say my name, and get on to the questions...
I'm Jon Farber.
And now, it's time for the questions.
First of all, with how much JSBSB kicked ass, I was wondering if there would be anyway to forego the normal route of regular DVD, then a few months later, Special Edition DVD, and rather just skip ahead to the Special Edition? I'm dying to hear the commentary tracks.
Second, is there any more information about your new project with Affleck regarding fatherhood? Is it going to be a heart warming dram, or a lighthearted farce, or something else entirely? (Why is it that when Affleck teams with either you or Matt Damon, the movie rocks, but when he's alone, they have a tendency to... well... not rock?)
Thirdly, have you ever considered doing something along the lines of 'Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead'? Something a bit more openly exisitensial (I know that's spelled wrong...) and philosophical? Probably not something like 'Jay and Silent Bob are dead', but something pondering the minor mysteries of life (What makes us who we are?). Would it help if I begged for a movie like that?
Fourth, and this is more a comment than an actual question, but my Comparative Religions prof used the Loki scene in the airport from Dogma on the first day of class, as an introduction to what the course is about. I thought that was pretty cool, and thought you might like to know.
Finally, and this is just a shot in the dark, but if you had the chance, would you direct an episode of Buffy or Angel? Rampant Fanboy Dream for me, I know, but still, I think it would be cool...
Okay, I think that's about it. It's all pretty much rambling, but I wanted to get this stuff off my chest.
Thanks for taking the time to read this...
Jon Farber
PS -- I don't know if this comment is appropriate, but it is something that I wanted to say because I think it's important. If you talk to Ben, wish him the best for me (even though he has no idea who I am). Recovery is a bitch, but if I did it, he can do it too.
