nope. i didnt agree it was a reference. in fact, it had nothing to do with the movie. in this episode, bart and milhouse were causing trouble at the mall, and the idiotic police chief came to the conclusion that giant rats had been responsible(the kids had ravaged the candy store). so, no. i dont.
