In the recent "Skywalker Ranch" event that was held for the debut of the Episode I DVD, people got to asking about how much the DVD cost to produce. He said it was a lot, and as they asked for more specifics, this exchange was recorded:

Question: How many Kevin Smith movies could you make? (laughter)
Rick McCallum: Well, it depends. Based on his last one? (laughs) It cost a lot.
