It's going to sound dumb, but try eating. Preferably junk food. It won't cure anything, but it will distract you long enough to give your mind and your soul a breather. Watch a movie while you do it. My plan for later is to watch TV with my dad and eat stuff that's bad for me. It's shallow, perhaps, but I will need a "time out" from despair if I am going to be able to deal with this in a calm, rationale matter in the days to come.
