Kevin--
I just wanted to write and let you know that today is my 30th birthday, and I celebrated it with a friend by going to see Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back. (We also re-watched Mallrats last night since we hadn't seen it in a while and didn't want to miss the references - that was a good idea.) I've been a huge fan of your movies since the beginning and they are one of the few things in the world that can make me laugh out loud. Keep up the good work.
As I take stock of my life (you do that stuff on 30th birthdays, I guess) I realize that I'm pretty happy with it. I have a great family and friends (haven't found the man of my dreams yet, but plenty of time for that, right?), a job that I love going to, and good movies to see (shameless brown-nosing!) But I realized today there are a few things I'd like to do in life, and I thought I'd share:
1. Have kids - someone to pass on my great taste in movies to (again - have I no shame?)
2. Skydive - the ultimate in letting go!
3. Be in a Kevin Smith movie - now, I'm not asking or anything because I know that's not allowed. Just saying that it would be a wonderful thing. You guys always look like you're having so much fun making them - I think that's why I find them so funny! So, maybe I'll show up at an audition someday. You can't blame me for dreaming!
Anyway, thanks so much for all the laughs. There's not much real wit out there in these days of Bubbleboy and the upcoming Zoolander. Your movies are eagerly awaited treats and constantly revisited friends. I can't wait to see what's next!
Thanks--
Nat
