Well I must say that I absolutely loved this movie. I have seen it twice now, both times in an AMC 24 in far northwest Oklahoma City. I have never been to a movie before where the audience (and myself) were absolutely in hysterics throughout the entire picture.
I really liked how this movie opened up with Jay singing his song outside the convenience store. I felt like Kevin was saying 'okay let's establish how this movie is going to go down riiight nowwwww' from the very beginning.
I also noticed that both times I saw this movie a good 75% of the theater remained seated throughout the end credits. People just did not want this movie to end.
I have a sneaking suspicion that a lot of this movie was fulfilling some fantasies of Kevin's. I mean if you had the chance to cast Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill in your very own movie (complete with a Light Sabre battle YOU get to take part in I might add!), wouldn't you? :-)
This was without a doubt the funniest movie I have seen in years. I love how expertly the slapstick and crude humor was mixed with more intellectual gags. I just may have to see this movie a third time, and I am definitally going to buy the DVD.
