Obviously I'm a huge fan of the comic book; but assume the movie will be a huge disapointment (didn't read your post real close as I thought some spoiliers might be in there). But here is the thing, if they made the movie that the comic book fans really wanted, people would be leaving the theater screaming for the return of their soul. The images in the book are intense enough to make you lose sleep, live action true to source images would be harrowing. Now of course -I- would love it; but the average movie goer, no way. In the grand scheme of things Moore and Campbell should never have sold the rights. It would be impossible to do the book justice and still make some money.
