No, I think Albany is the great white in comparison to NJ. I went to Ithaca College, so I know EXACTLY how great and white the southern tier is. 3 feet of snow the day before spring break... argh... Syracuse was the only other bastion of civilization in the area, and the Carousel Mall was the only decent place to Christmas shop, no matter how bloody awful the parking was, so yeah, I know what it's like.
