I liked the movie. I thought Mewes was great, and I thought the way he carried the film was great. I just thought there'd be more in the way of the rest of the Jersey characters, and a little less in the way of hey look, it's a famous person for 2 minutes. I understand that he's gotten alot of criticism in the past as far as having too much dialogue goes. Fuck the critics - Kevin's dialogue is what makes me love his stuff so much. And this, coming from someone who seriously considered being a film critic... before she realized that she really didn't want to be that despised for the rest of her life. When I heard about his reaction to that kind of criticism, I feared that he'd downplay the dialogue in J&SBSB, and I was right. I think it's a shame, is all. It's an entertaining movie, but if I were sitting down to watch a Kevin movie and had the option of watching any of them, it wouldn't be J&SBSB. It wouldn't be Chasing Amy, either, though, and I know that for many, that's the best of the bunch. To each his or her own, right? But don't give me shit for stating my opinion; just because it's a slight critique of J&SBSB doesn't mean that I'm not a fan of Kevin's and that I didn't like the film well enough.
