: : : The expensive DVDs are worth it, though, since they are generally chalk-full of extras that only the fans (read: not you) will appreciate. Sure, they may not have mass market appeal necessarily (compared with, say, special editions of Terminator 2 or The Matrix), but they're still pretty cool to the rest of us.
