Hi Kevin, et al...
Thanks to the internet it has become increasingly easy to send that "fan" letter I've always wanted to write, but probably wouldn't have.
I just wanted to say thank you & congratulate you for all the entertainment & laughter that your movies (& more currently printed materials)have provided to me...and my family.
I have noticed over the course of the "series" that the quality of the filming (Clerks) smacked of "Hey Gang! Wanna make a movie?" to the higher quality productions in the flicks that followed. All of them, Clerks included, have the qualities I like best in cinema...they make me laugh. (This is an all important element to me.) And in particular, the "habits" of the characters played by you & Jason Mewes. (Always "high" ranking in my book!) With all the shit happening in the world, a little escapism is nice to have! It sure beats the hell out of crying.
And speaking of "Clerks", I have to tell you that it reminded me very much of the original "Little Shop of Horrors"...black & white instead of color & the "raw" quality that showed so much promise for your future endeavors.
In reading some of the things on this site, I learned that a "remake" of Fletch may be in the offing. I have no doubt that it will be a better version than the one with Chevy Chase playing the lead role.
Thank you so much for taking the time out to read this email...
From La La Land,
