I don't think I'm speaking out of turn when I say that he probably would. Since 'Clerks' was paid for out of pocket, and primarily on credit cards no less, any cost-conscious filmmaker would do the same and save a bundle in the process.

Although my memory on these details is failing, I believe it was negative. I'm sure Vincent would know for sure.
