Repost: Quetsion about Asbury Park and Quick Stop

When my cousins and I went to Jersey last week we stopped at Asbury Park. We were at what we presume was the site of the beginning in Dogma (Where God is leaning over ther railing and the hockey kids come an beat him up). The only thing is the stores in the background were all dilapitated and boarded up. When filming did they spruce that up with a false front, or were we just in the wrong part of the park? When you stood facing the ocean off to your right was a verly large, run down, old theater.

When we went to the Quick Stop we noticed a tattoo parlor next to RST (all part of the same building) In the beginning of J@SBSB did they use special effects to take it out of the shot, or did they just make it look like it was part of RST? I couldn't quit tell while watching the movie

I'd appreciate it if anyone out there who might know could answer.

I got one answer on the Quck Stop question I can live with, but the Asbury Park question didn't get anserwerd. I figured I'd repost to see if anyone else has any thoughts. Thanks Again, Tony
