Needed to pass on deepest sympathies for the families and friends of all those killed or injured, also the shocked US people...my heart goes out to you.
I don't think this is just about taking religion too seriously. As usual it is about the need to impose the will of one group over another. Power and control - It happens again and again. A less obvious "force" is the courage of the everyday Americans who have shouldered this tragedy with dignity and grace. This has touched people all over the world in a time when the temptation is to say "mankind is fucked". Here in the UK the most liberal and progressive minds are struggling to provide a context for what happened and what may happen so in the meantime I will look to the response of the people of, especially, New York and Washington for a source of comfort in these dark times.
