Why are so many artists/celebrities refusing to call for force or restraint against the freakshows who murdered the innocent last week? Especially when so many of our famous ones are known for their controversial views? I go to Kevin's movies to be entertained and provoked and I am never disappointed. So why shouldn't I be interested in his opinion during a national tragedy? And although I applauded his essay on standing with our fellow Americans, I can't help but feel disappointed when he cops out of an inquiry about his warring opinions with 'I'm not touching that one'. Personally I hope that we obliterate the terrorists and the countries that harbor them. It would be great if a few talented folks I admire agreed with me, but I can take some brilliant dissent. I think that any intelligent talk would raise the national conversation a level or two, as long as we publicly support our leaders who are having a difficult fucking time as it is and are going through some heavy shit we will never fully comprehend.
Kevin Smith and the Beastie Boys...four opinions I'm interested in right now besides my own. Why are you running?
Good deal, Shiv. Anyone else out there with something else on the mind besides dick jokes?
