Hey man, that wasn't too long. Your flick sounds like something I'd get a kick out of. I am on route to Film School here in Vancouver and hope to be making the rounds at the festivals around my country and yours. Oh and check out my post lower down entitled..."Re:Kevin's replies to the best routes....Repost." you might like it. later...the frogprints
: Before I begin this message, I'd like to inform anyone who actually reads this to know that it is written with the assumption that Kevin Smith himself reads these. I'm new to this site, so hell, how do I know if he reads them or not? Anyways, I'll get on with it, as not to waste Kevin's time.
: Hey Kevin, how's it going
: Hope you don't mind me jumping to a first-name basis, but the truth is after the third viewing of Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, I feel like I know you. Not because I'm a freak or something, but because of the refreshing feeling I got seeing a film clearly throwing aside the superficial limitations of Hollywood and saying, "Here's to the fans!" It's about damn time. Now, I will admit that I joined the View Askew fans just two years ago, but I still got up early to get my sneak preview ticket for Jay and Silent Bob.(Pause) Now that I've kissed your ass a little (not to say it was insincere), I'll move on to the point of this message. My name is Matt Ryan and I'm sitting in my dorm at the University of Texas in Austin and I'm probably about to become one of those people who writes to their favorite celebrities with this fantasy that they'll read it and be like: "I must contact this person!" Either way, I'm going to finish this. I'm a student filmmaker and am in the process of building up my own little production company "Mister Films". My first movie was a feature length project about a gateway to an alternate universe through a toilet. It played at the New York Independent Film Festival last spring. I've also done some shorts and animations. After college (I'm currently a freshman) I plan on going into the industry. The truth is, you represent the director that I'm striving to be. Someone who can do what they want and still entertain. Someone who can make a movie of inside jokes and have millions around the country in on it. So, I salute you and readily look forward to the next movie. (Insert profound statement designed to wrap up message here). If you happened to make it this far, who ever the hell is reading this. I apologize for the length and thank you for your time.
: Peace Out
