You don't necessarily need a Jay...you know, a couple of years ago Bob met this chick (from Canada? We don't know) and Jay didn't know anything about it. It's obvious that Jay and Bob spend time apart, but this would not be the least bit interesting scriptwise as they play on each other's idiosyncrasies. So you can continue to be a Jayless Silent Bob and be completely authentic, just don't expect any laughs or movie deals. Also, QUIT SMOKING, that shit'll kill you.
