First, Will Farrel was funny in it and I'm not a big Will Farrel fan. Though after seeing "The Suburbans" he does have the best "Bass Face" I've seen in a long time. (As in he plays the bass guitar)

Second, I think Michael Ian Black would've been wonderful as Marshall Willenholly and has VA ties already, but alas. Farrel did it and was funny. 'Nuf said. Rock on, Kevin!

: The dude's the main reason why I stayed home in lieu of laying down six of my hard-earned dollars to see "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back."

: Honestly, Kev -- why? If you were looking for established comedic talent with a background in sketch comedy, why not hire a cast member from "The Kids in the Hall" or "The Vacant Lot" or "The State" instead? They could use the work, and they've all got ability far beyond Ferrell's range.

: Now don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of your work (and any John Landis fan is good peeps in my book, yo), but did you really need to cast Charles Rocket 2000? He's a stark reminder of Lorne Michaels' horrific stratagem to recapture the glory and success of his "Wayne's World" movies ... AT ANY COST TO THE VIEWER'S INTELLIGENCE. I mean, "Corky Ramano?"

: I dunno. Maybe Ferrell did the impossible and was actually funny in "J&SBSB." Perhaps you were the one ingredient missing from Ferrell's comedy ... err ... soup (metaphorically speaking, of course). And maybe, just maybe, upon seeing your latest cinematic creation, my opinion of his overall talent could very well turn in the opposite direction.

: But still.

: Will Ferrell?
