Wne the "ya-oor" sound is said to mean "you are" it is CONTRACTED by taking those two words, subtracting the vowel of the second word, and joining them with an apostrophe.
Like so: You're.
As in: You're retarded.
"Your" is used to connote the possessive, somthing that belongs to you. Like, say: Your brain must be sadly lacking in the convolutions.
