I went as Bob to a Fancy dress Birthday party a few years back, and
the theme was movies, so it worked, but for Halloween, use a bit of
imagination!!!!
Halloween is about Ghouls and Goblins!! THE WITCHING HOUR etc!
So this should be reflected in the costume! Going as the first
character that springs to mind shows a lack of imagination!
