steve dave and walt/mtv shorts question

I was just reading the clerks comicks and was wondering if steve dave and walt were the ones who threw jay and silent bob out of the comic store in the mtv shorts. Also I know steve dave and walt were in mallrats but I cant remember if they are in any other of the movies.
