First of all, the ABP screening went really well at the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs. There was a very good turn out and the crowd was very receptive to the film and the Q&A afterwards. And that's great for a school that doesn't even have a film major. If UCCS will accept the film, any school will. Especially if they have film classes.
Also, I will be auctioning off some items on the VA Board soon. These include a towel that Vincent used after his shower, a cereal bowl he used to eat breakfast, a tea cup he drank out of, and more. I also have an empty (bastard) Cocoa Krispies cereal box that would go nicely with any fan boys collection. So stop buying those Backstreet Boys CD's and Battlefield Earth movies and save up so you can score big in the auction.
On a side note, thanks again for coming Vincent. I'm told that the audience comments on the comment sheets were great and it was nice hanging out again.
And for everyone else, get Vincent to your school. It's very easy and takes very little time on your part. All you have to do is go to your Activities Board (every school has one) and give them some information about the film and the contact information for Auburn Moon. All of this is available on this board or through Vincent's website (which also has a link available on this board). When going to the board, stress the fact that the film works for everyone. It's interesting to people who simply like to watch movies, it's interesting to people who enjoy intellectual conversations and films that make them think, and it's very interesting to aspiring filmmakers and the like who want to learn more about filmmaking. Not to mention the fact that it's an important film. Using those points and some extra information (reviews and interviews) should make a very strong case for bringing the film to your school. Plus, Vincent doesn't charge a lot to go (barely anything considering other filmmaker's fees) so the school can easily fit the funds into the budget. If you hurry and go this semester, there's a good chance it'll be approved for showing in the Spring. So go. Now.
