One, if you chose to post your writing sample ON THIS BOARD, on a DISCUSSION BOARD where Q and As are par for the course NOT criticism of writing samples... in the simple act of your choosing THIS board to do it on, from the thousands of various film discussion forums out there?

I refuse to believe that you... or any of these other posters... did not consider to some extent the idea "hey, if I post it here, Kevin might read it and might hand me a career if he really likes it".

It just fits too well. If you really wanted it critiqued, altrustically and honestly, there's hundreds of other places to do it... you chose the place where a handful of successful industry-types answer questions.

Therefore, I refuse to believe that your intentions were pure.

Secondly, even if you were so insanely naive as to have never considered that path... I guarantee you that most people are not so amazingly well-intentioned. And the prescedent that we would set by not thoroughly downing the idea that you are allowed to post spec-scripts here, merely because of your "good intentions"... it opens the door for the less well-intentioned...

to flood this fucking board with their spec-scripts, looking for jobs.

And that can't be allowed... and that goes far above and beyond the idea of "open discourse"... that goes into the level of "people just sniffing around here looking for The Big Break"... which is still strictly verbotten.

Mike
