They mention him on the Mallrats commentary as a replacement for Stan Lee (as Stan Lee) if The Man himself didn't want to do it.
And he could have been a possibility for a cameo in JSBSB because, lets face it, who WASN'T a possibility for a cameo in JSBSB.
