Pride because it's plain to see that there are so many people who come here whom you have influenced greatly. Just ask, and you'll see that most of us have made or are planning to make films (or at least written a script... guilty as charged,)
Sorrow because, unfortunately, these people may not have the opportunity to realize their dreams, because of the incredibly screwed up Hollywood studio way of doing things, no matter how hard they try. Hey, not everyone can be Kevin Smith...
On a constant basis, I see many people who have huge potential to create amazing art, but I fear that their talent may never be relized by the mainstream. (It's probably reffered to as a stream on account of how shallow it is)
Kev, a big part of the reason fans love you so much is that you're proof that any normal schmuck with an incredible amount of luck can live out the fantasy that we all dream of. You have made a fantastic amount of money, you run a comic shop, you make incredible movies, and you've got a major hottie wife. You're the embodiment of what we all wish we could be.
