the guy writing the remake is the same guy who wrote the remakes of 13 Ghosts and House on Haunted Hill, not to mention the yet unreleased Scooby Doo film. What, there was something wrong with the original? If so, someone fill me in.
Even worse than that is the fact that George doesn't own ANY rights to Dawn (his former producer/pimp Richard Rubinstein has control of the film), so, if it's a success, GAR won't get a penny. If it's a failure, it will hamper the possibilities of GAR making a fourth installment in the Dead trilogy (Now whether GAR wants to actually make a 4th dead film, like he claims, or if he's just blowing smoke, is another debate that rages on all across the Gar sites.)
One more bitchfit and I'm done. On the last board, Vinnie pointed out that Bill Lustig fucked up the sound transfer to Suspiria, but hardly anyone says anything about Anchor Bay's theatrical version DVD of Dawn. There's approximatley 3 minutes of footage from the Cannes edit (or "director's cut" as it's been mistakenly labeled in the past)included on this version that was not in the original theatrical run or any other subsequent releases. So I have to hold onto my Republic CLV laserdisc (with no chapter stops) just to have a pure version of the theatrical cut, untill Anchor Bay rereleases Dawn, again, and rapes me out of more money.
Okay, back to the viewaskewniverse.
