This board has gotten popular enough that regardless of what anyone does, people are going to post a lot of off-topic or off-the-wall stuff. HolyToads and Ming couldn't possibly read everything that gets posted on this board and delete anything off-topic in a short enough time for it to make any difference. It's asking too much.
I agree that the boards move way too fast for anyone who doesn't sit on them all day to really absorb anything. However, I'm at a loss for how to solve this. And I will point out that people are always talking about the glory days of the board, and it was so great blah blah blah, and Ben Affleck came on every day and personally licked everyone's behinds, and it's all false. When I started posting here, there was just as much off-topicness, there was just as much stupidity if not more, people were definitely nastier. There's just MORE people here now.
It's anarchy, and we must depend on the kindness and wisdom of our fellow humans to restrain themselves from too much pointless chatting. Plus, people should use the chatroom more if they really want quick conversation. Start a revolution. That place could be cool; I'm not into it, but if it's your cup of tea.
Besides, Smalls has been a lot more fun since the OT discussions were approved. I used to worry for his state of mind.

I have been reading the boards for a few month, but just started posting earlier this week, so obviously what I say doesnt mean shit, but I thought I would try to spark a debate anyway.
: First, the old boards were damn good, interesting, and informative. Now, they are just interesting (for the most part)
: Second, people are blowing through the board faster than than some of the really good topics can be discussed (or good insults can be dished).
