let me just say first off that i like Ben Affleck, he's a generally entertaining actor, but my problem with him is that in all his movies i have seen, he plays his roles with a certain cockiness and hasnt displayed that much of what i'd like to call a "range". he generally isnt that strong of an actor and i'm just not convinced he could pull of Matt Murdock. that being said, i'm wondering why some of you are saying they're casting him because of box office/audience magnetism. well looking at the last 10 movies he has done, only three of them have broken 100 mil. Armageddon, Shakespeare in Love, and Pearl Harbor, all of which really didnt succeed because of Affleck (sorry, but you can't deny that).

normally i HATE the whole fanboy casting routine because it seriously just turns into this whole stupid argument where some idiot who doesnt know anything argues with ANOTHER idiot who knows even LESS and it's all just supremely pathetic to watch but... man i'm with some of the other people in saying that someone like Edward Norton, Guy Pearce, Billy Crudup, or man... (and i HATE to say it) but even Matt Damon would be better suited for the role. if anything i'd like to see Affleck as Bullseye.

i'm obviously reserving my final judgement until the flick comes out but i'm severely disappointed with how the casting on DD has been going so far (what in gods name was with the rumors that fucking VIN DIESEL was going to be DD? this seems to be a trend of picking the totally OPPOSITE guy for the role).

of course, at the end of the day, what the fuck do i know?

also, why is this board still in the dark ages of WWWBoard? why not UBB or vBulletin? seems like it'd work a buttload more efficiently.

: Why do you think Affleck wouldn't play a good Daredevil? The man is a fine actor who is also a lifelong Daredevil fan (see intro to Smith's D.D. Trade Paperback). He's even got the friggin' jawline. What more do you want?
