spiderman query

Has spiderman come out in the states yet... I'm an OZ boy so I'm not sure, but I heard that they were holding back all films with the trade centre in them and I'm pretty sure from the trailer that the helicopter was suspended between the trade centre buildings... also who's the lucky dude that got the part of spiderman/peter parker?
