There are 2 types of people in the world the complacent and the ones that push the envelope. People who are scared to try anything new always try to make you feel like you can't do it. Why listen to them. If you try and fail you can honestly say "I gave it 100%, it just didn't work out." But if you don't try you will have to live with regret and the notion of what life would have been like if you had only tried.
