I remember when he did that.
he was stuck on a certain point in half life (or some other game, think it was half life though).
Mewes posted asking if anyone knew what to do, someone did so Mewes asked him to call him up and talk him through it.
between Chasing Amy and Dogma, the board was a lot smaller place, he could get away w/ that and most everyone was cool enough to respect his privacy.
seems like alot more rabid fans have joined the board since
