: I am in the market for a nice dv camcorder, and I was wondering what kind of camera was used to film clerks? Or if anyone knows, what is a kickass camera i could score for under three grand.

Right now I have 3 DV cameras Sony DSR-Vx2000, Canon XL1S, and a Sony DSR-PC5. I use them to film the Stormin Norman show.

The Sony DSR-PC5 is a small good camera. I think it was like $1500 USD when I bought it. Now it is probably cheaper. But it has a really good lens on it and it is broadcast quality. So I would suggest that camera if you are looking for a cheap on. The other 2 I have are quite expensive and more difficult to use.

You have to read a 100 page manual to really get the XL1S down good. Same for the Vx2000.

Stormin!
