I haven't heard it myself, but I read that his commentary for the Criterion edition of Armageddon was funny. The only specific thing I recall was that he asked one of the producers or the director why NASA would choose to train oil drillers to be astronauts instead of the other way around and he was told to "shut the fuck up." I could be getting that slightly wrong, i didn't hear it myself.
