It's like this; sure Manson MAY HAVE been one of the best musical composers of the 60's had he not let out the evil in him. Evil is evil but still can not negate the abilities one has or had. Hitler was an amazing artist; had he not been rejected from art school three times, could history have been changed? Possibly. Had the Beatles gone through and brought Manson into the band when McCartney met him at the commune (I think at the Spahn Ranch) in California he might have been able to suppress his evil. But given the fact that these men did what they did asks us to acknowledge the skills they had and DEMANDS us to NOT incorporate them as acceptable contemporary artistic figures.
