Won't be able to answer them, (people request interviews and such on this board almost daily) I do know the answers to some from past interviews and posts. Here are some of the answers..
:
: Interview Questions
: 1. What event called you to want to write and direct movies? How old were you?
I think most of it had to do with Vince convincing(sp?) him to do it, or something to that effect. Also when he and Vince saw Slacker he said that was a big insperation.
: 2. Before becoming a writer/director, had you had any experience in directing? (Like small projects)
He did the Mae Day doc. in Film School.
: 3. What’s your favorite aspect of being a movie director? Whats your least favorite?
: 4. How long before “Clerks” were you writing and directing?
as far as I know all he did before Clerks was Mae Day.
: 5. Did you attend film school? Do you feel a director should?
He went to the Vancover Film School were he meet Scott, but dropped out.
: 6. Which director most influenced you?
I dont know, but since Slacker influenced him to want to direct I am guessing the director of said film (Steven Linklater) is one.
: 7. What about your career (so far) are you most proud of?
: 8. What kind of cameras do you use? The same ones each movie or different ones?
: 9. Typically, how long would it take to make a movie?
depends on the movie. Clerks took longer because they had to shoot over night when the store was closed, and they didn't have money to make things move along quicker. Chasing Amy took only a couple months if my memory is correct. For the most part, depending on the movie, production takes anywhere from 2-5 months give or take, but I could be wrong.
: 10. Does censorship upset you?
: 11. Which actor that you haven’t yet worked with would you want to work with the most, dead or alive?
: 12. What characteristics must a director have?
: 13. Which genre of movies do you enjoy the most? The least?
: 14. Is there a tradition you have when starting a new movie?
: 15. Is total creative control for the director MUST when directing movies?
: 16. How many different cameramen are used on a given shot?
: 17. If you had to say, which one of your movies is your favorite?
: 18. What’s your favorite movie?
Duh...Navy Seals
: 19. Does the fame really matter to you, or do you feel like just the s\ame guy as before all the movies?
: 20. What would you tell teenagers thinking about getting into directing/writing/producing movies?
Don't suck.

: Thank you; your time is much appreciated.
Hope I could help.
