And 'Transformers' sort of transcends the genre, so...

I guess I'm defining 80's cartoon as 'memorable but relatively unsubstantial'...see Smurfs are a little more substantial, than, oh, say, 'Thundarr'...'Darkstar' was imaginative but short-lived...

This is probably why I have to go with...hmm...'Pac-Man', the Cartoon. A hummable theme song, as well. A close follow-up would be 'Q-Bert'....I dunno, I seem to have a thing for ovoid videogame protagonists.
